Women are more generous than men...
but is there a shadow side of generosity?
For years, I asked myself how to be more generous with money.
It wasn’t until recently, when I admitted feeling guilt and shame around money, that I started to understand the real (and surprising) reason I was so close-fisted with my cash.
Instead of asking how to be more generous, I was prompted to ask: “Am I being generous for the right reason?” I courageously explored the root of why I feel guilty for having so much, and how this might relate to the relationship between women and generosity overall.
I was surprised to learn why generosity isn’t always good and how it’s quite possible I could make my life better by being selfish - an appalling thought my past self never would have considered.
I could only be the generous woman I’ve always imagined
once I learned how to be generous with myself.
