{35} When Living in Alignment
I am so proud of myself. Can I say this without fearing narcissism? Yes - because as I bask in an awe-struck, refreshing feeling of admiration for myself and the courageous life I am actively choosing, I grow increasingly eager to foster this exact feeling in your life.
I failed to answer with a resounding “Yes!” when I inquired in my car a few months ago: “Am I inspiring myself?” Today, as I re-read an email sent to one of my favorite podcasts last week, I SING “yes!”
Yes, I am incredibly inspired by myself & my aspirations & my bold decision to live a life true for me. I am inspired by my unshakable trust even though my future and stability and journey are now a little less clear than if I were to continue floating down the river of societal prescription.
And that small voice of concern, “Am I being narcissistic?” may be healthy, but it is unraveled by the passion bursting from my chest that says: “THIS IS IT!” This is my purpose, this is what is possible for everyone to experience, and this is the life I help others pursue. MY GOODNESS how absolutely blissful.
When is the last time you were bursting with pride for yourself? And if this moment doesn’t come to mind - when is the last time you were bursting with pride for someone else? What does that tell you about what you value & admire? How can you more fully live into these truths in your own life?
You are unlike any other human on this earth. Your gifts, and the means through which YOU share them, are unlike any other human on this earth.
Just as the eagle is as essential to maintaining the wonder of our ecosystem at Thunder Lake as much as the dragonfly that lands on my arm; just as the frozen winter aids in rejuvenation of plant life as much as the warm rains of spring; your unique purpose is essential to the vibrancy of our world just as much as my own thriving or that of anyone else.
I am overcome with awe at my own life because I have tapped into the potential of my unique, essential impact. Are you ready to experience yours?
